We've scoured the planet in search of the best organic, non-toxic, healthy and luxurious materials so that we could produce the best pillow ever made. Everything we use is meticulously sourced and we take pride in our exceptionally high standards. 

Organic Cotton

We only use GOTS-Certified Organic cotton, which means our cotton cases are free from harmful chemicals and fumigants, while also being ethically sourced and produced.

Your pillow is constructed of two cases. An interior case made from soft and stretchy jersey fabric which is naturally moisture-wicking to keep you cool and dry throughout the night. This inner case also protects the buckwheat hull filling from dust, wear and tear. 

The exterior shell is made from 100% cotton strands that are custom knit into a double layer weave. Adding a layer of cushion and comfort, while minimizing noise,  we've created the best fabric for our outer pillow case. Plus, the double case design makes it easy to remove the outer shell for washing.

Buckwheat Hull Filling 

Buckwheat hulls have several advantages over traditional pillow filling like foam or feathers. Most significantly, buckwheat hulls do not collapse or compress under weight which means they provide excellent support for your head and neck. Our pillows are filled with thousands of tiny hulls which conform perfectly to the unique shape of your head and neck, filling every nook and cranny. This allows the weight of your head to be evenly distributed, which will prevent any undue stress on the muscles in your neck. 

Additionally, buckwheat hulls do not conduct or reflect heat therefore creating a supreme thermodynamic pillow that helps you maintain the perfect body temperature all night.  

Grown without Pesticides or Herbicides we use 5 lbs. of organic buckwheat hulls in each of our pillows. 

Recycled Eco-Zippers

SleepHard uses Eco Zippers that are made using recycled polyethylene terephthalate, known as PET. They are Oeko-Tex Certified to be free from harmful substances, and, as a recycled material, they are certified by the Taiwan Green Mark to reduce global waste. Using a zippered opening, the buckwheat hull filling can be added or removed to provide the exact thickness you prefer.
